Create a bit of history yourself!
Enjoy the pleasure and satisfaction of making your very own Windsor Chair, under the expert guidance of Tom on a week long course in his own workshop. All students will make the standard Stick Back Windsor Chair pictured, from Ash and Elm which is yours to take home and keep. It may become a cherished family heirloom!
All courses are run very informally and students
will be involved from start to finish in every aspect of the chairmaking
process, including wood-turning and steam bending.
Don't worry about your skill level, whether a total beginner or experienced
woodworker, man or woman, you will feel totally at ease and work at
your own pace.
The five day courses are run regularly throughout the year from Monday
to Friday and dates can be arranged to suit the individual. The cost
of the course will cover all tuition and chair materials.
Accomodation can be arranged, if required in the nearby village of Misterton.
